Tizeti is committed to our Vision of being Africa’s leading Voice, Video, and Data service provider, focusing on our year’s theme — “Bigger, Bolder, Better.”
The effect of the COVID pandemic continued throughout the year 2021, and we worked from home to keep our workforce and customers safe. We leveraged on modern work tools to enhance our operation and to develop new business processes, culture and customer experiences in order to satisfy the changing needs of our customers.
We launched in Edo State:
Edo State became our newest coverage location in Nigeria and we launched back in April with the “4 x 4 promo” and it is our our fastest growing location to date
Ghanawifi:
Tizeti Ghana kept growing at an exponential speed and we recently secured license to operate in the Central Region in Ghana.
Expansion
We expanded our coverage of the Lagos market to Ajah, Abule Egba, Ikorodu, and Isheri Magodo.
We expanded our LTE network in Rivers State to Rumuokoro, Rumuigbo, Rumuokwuta, Rumueme Rumuepirikom, Iwofe, Rumuomasi, New GRA, Rumuokoro, Rumuodomaya, Rumuomasi, Rukpokwu, Rumuodara, Rumuibekwe, Eneka, Eliozu, Eliogbolo, Rumuola,Rumuokwuta.
Furthermore, we expanded our coverage in Ghana to include Dansoman
Expresswifi
The total number of users grew 28% to 2.4M across 3,800 retailers
On August 11th, Tizeti, West Africa’s pioneer solar-based internet service provider, convened Nigeria’s prominent corporate leaders, C-level executives, IT managers, technology startups, and digital thought leaders at the maiden edition of its futuristic Tizeti NeXTGEN conference themed, “The Future of Digital is Here”, in line with its commitment to broadening digital inclusion for Africa by providing affordable broadband connectivity to the continent’s underserved populations.
Tizeti NeXTGEN is a flagship conference focused on discussing Africa’s digital environment and highlighting how digital transformation will empower more Nigerians, stimulate economic activity, provide a foundation for a robust and thriving ecosystem to enable digital leadership for Africa in the 4.0 world, and complement the digital efforts of other industry stakeholders in driving investment promotion and building a technology ecosystem in Nigeria and Africa.
Tizeti’s aspirations for 5G, Smart Interactive Voice response technologies and increasing access to unrestricted internet across Africa were all showcased during the event.
Tizeti Gives UNIBEN Students Scholarships, Others Jobs.
In August, Kendall Ananyi, CEO of Tizeti, gave a donation to the University of Benin’s Electrical and Electronics Engineering Class of 2021
In addition, the organization would provide internships, unique group experiences, and professional growth to the top students.
This is part of Tizeti’s #PayItForward# program. The initiative equips brilliant graduating students from African universities’ Electrical and Electronics Engineering departments with the skills and experiences needed for “career growth in technology,” and provides Tizeti with talented young graduates for its next phase of growth across Africa.
Network Operations
We peered with the Internet exchange point of Nigeria (IXPN) at the MDXi data center.
We worked with our regulator to pilot broadband service on the 60 GHz band.
WifiCall:
We broadened the scope of our enterprise-focused solution to include healthcare, banking, and logistics sector and we released our smart IVR and Voice OTP solution at our Tizeti NextGen event. We also integrated our voice service with a call center solution provider, Ameyo.
1GB Speed test
During the NeXTGEN event, we performed a successful demonstration to show to the world that we are capable of offering 1GB of speed in one second.
We collaborated with Aella to ensure our customers subscription is always on irrespective of their financial situation during the pandemic. Our customers can renew their internet subscription now and pay later with the partnership
We partnered Kudi in August to make it easier for Expresswifi users to purchase data bundles from Kudi agent located nationwide.
2021 required us to think outside the box in order to meet our objectives while adhering to the Covid-19 pandemic guidelines.
As we prepare to begin the new year, we have no doubt that it will be our greatest yet, and we can’t wait to celebrate each milestone as we achieve them in 2022.
